Barossa valley, south australia on the sony a7v & iphone 17 pro

I’ve been wanting to see the Barossa Valley in person for years and finally I managed to line up a drive out there while on a trip to Adelaide to cover the car racing AU4 Australian Championships event! We didn’t get the best weather on the day that we were there but I still got to capture a few images for the photo books.

The landscape is absolutely stunning out there and I think we were quite lucky to get to see these amazing yellow flowers which I think were the Canola plant if I’m not mistaken. They cover the landscape and look incredible.

We only had a few hours to look around the valley but tried to make the most of our time by visiting a couple of places. We started with breakfast at the Nosh Cafe and then visited Maggie Beer’s Farm and finished off with a trip to the Barossa Valley Chocolate Company before flying back home the same day!

The Nosh Cafe is a unique little place tucked inside an old flour mill and is full of character and vintage charm. The food was delicious and gave us a great start for a busy day.

Maggie Beer’s Farm was really nice - rustic charm, local produce and very picturesque setting, I’ll be returning when I’m next here.

The Barossa Valley Chocolate Company is a must for chocolate lovers, lots of variety on offer to buy at the shop and there are big windows in the shop so that you can watch the chocolate factory in operation, super cool!

I’d recommend all three places if you are ever in the area and I’m hoping to revisit them all and do a vlog on them when I’m next in the area as unfortunately I was very short on time on this trip.
